3D Set Design and Special Effects for the Performing Arts

3D replica technology has found a significant place in sectors such as film and advertising, providing creative and practical solutions for various production needs.

In this particular project, tomatoes were required for the filming of several scenes that spanned over time. However, the perishable nature of the original fruit made it very difficult to transport and reuse the same pieces across all the necessary takes.

It was then that the art direction of a feature film contacted us with the task of creating exact replicas of the “ugly tomato” from Tudela.

These replicas, crafted using 3D technology, not only offered a realistic and visually appealing effect but also added a touch of ingenuity and magic to the audiovisual production. More importantly, they greatly facilitated the work of the artistic teams by solving a practical challenge without sacrificing quality or authenticity.
