Our collaborator, Studio RRR, approached us with the challenge of creating a texture similar to a cake to cover the wall of a new location for the cake shop “La Tarta de la Madre de Cris”, which was undergoing renovations.
The solution was clear: large-format 3D printing, which allows for the creation of volumetric pieces up to 3.5 meters in height.

The interior of the shop was constructed using a wall printed with recycled plastic, featuring folded curved geometries and a materiality that shifts in appearance depending on the reflections created by the volumes and the interaction with natural light.
The warm backlighting, combined with the creamy interior color, produces color changes depending on the viewing distance. From the outside, the wall appears brighter, while the interior takes on whiter tones.

The lightweight material allowed for easy installation and gave the space a special magic with just a single piece. Additionally, it is durable and resistant to erosion.
The result was incredible—a small space that leaves no one indifferent.
