3D-Printed Ephemeral Architecture in Visual Merchandising
The international collaboration between Eric Haze and Jimmy Choo, under the creative direction of Poggy, was unveiled to the global public in the brand’s boutiques during October 2021. As part of this initiative, we were entrusted with bringing to life an ephemeral space within the iconic Kadewe department store in Berlin, with the goal of highlighting and showcasing the exclusive pieces from this collection.
The project, of a comprehensive nature, encompassed various essential stages, starting with the detailed design of renders, followed by a meticulous selection of materials and specialized suppliers, and culminating in the logistical and technical coordination required to ensure the success of the final installation in the German capital.
The client’s aesthetic and functional choices resulted in a blend of sophisticated techniques, including robotic manufacturing, combined with the use of vinyl and plexiglass for certain key pieces.
This approach not only added an additional layer of authenticity to the original graphics that define the collection but also established a bridge between innovation and contemporary art.
The result stood out not only for its uniqueness and avant-garde character but also integrated a sustainable approach by using recycled materials for the plastic prints.
This detail reflected a commitment to responsible practices, demonstrating that design can be both creative and environmentally conscious.
